Through ALPA’s Education Committee, airline pilots volunteer their time to provide aviation university and grade school students and faculty with an inside look at the profession. These interactive, age-appropriate presentations cover life as an airline pilot, where our volunteers delve into the basics of a flight deck, the role each pilot plays in operating the aircraft, the major flight controls of an airliner and how they work, and how pilots navigate and operate the aircraft.
ALPA also supplies the students and faculty members with educational resources, activities, and items such as education referral cards, stickers, and pencils with more information on the steps you can take to become a professional airline pilot or enhance your students’ aviation curriculum.
