Experience and Hiring Requirements
In addition to the government rules and regulations to becoming a professional airline pilot and maintaining a license, each airline also has its own minimum qualifications. However, most look for well-qualified candidates who exceed those minimums, are passionate about flying, and demonstrate superior leadership and communication skills. Safety is paramount. To be competitive, you should keep building flight time and look for opportunities to enhance your skills—both in and outside of the flight deck. Also remember that your reputation matters, so keep it professional (including on social media).
